  • Summer 2025 PR Internship 

    Company: Bodega Public Relations

    Location: Queen West, with 4-day per week in-office requirement

    Position Type: Full time, 16-week contract

    Compensation: $17.75/hr

    Job Overview:

    Bodega Public Relations is looking for a Public Relations Intern with exceptional organizational and communication skills who will thrive in a creative and fast-paced environment.

    This is an in-person role for an intern to start in the Summer of 2025. The intern will be responsible for assisting with various day-to-day tasks, including drafting pitches, monitoring social and traditional media, and supporting the coordination of events and media outreach. They will also help with administrative tasks and research projects to support the PR team. The role will be based in Toronto, ON, with some flexibility for remote work.

    The successful candidate will be a current student enrolled in a Public Relations or Communications post-secondary program or have a strong interest in the public relations landscape across Canada.     The internship will begin on May 1, 2025, and conclude on August 22, 2025.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting the team to ensure client objectives and deliverables are met on time.

    • Supporting various account teams to ensure completion of assigned tasks.

    • Drafting and editing copy for client projects.

    • Continuously tracking and staying informed about industry and brand best practices for our clients.

    • Monitoring, analyzing, and distributing media coverage and preparing reports.

    • Assisting in the production, packing and shipping of PR packages. 

    • Supporting media and influencer outreach. 

    • Preparing and managing mail and courier packages for delivery and pickup.

    • Performing various ad-hoc administrative duties to assist the team as required.

    • Preparing event kits and invite lists, and providing logistical support for events.

    • Conducting research and preparing reports as needed.

    • Developing and maintaining media databases.

    • Assisting in the development of presentations as required.

    • Providing logistical support for client events.

    Qualifications:

    • Some public relations experience (volunteer, academic, or previous internship experience).

    • Knowledge of major outlets in the Canadian media landscape.

    • Passion for working with brands in the food/beverage, beauty, and wellness industries.

    • Extremely proactive with the ability to provide prompt follow-through on projects.

    • An organized self-starter capable of working independently or in groups.

    • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong attention to detail.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills.

    • Experience using Mac OS and Google Workspace.
